The Student Leadership Challenge – Five Practices for Becoming an Exemplary Leader by James Couzes and Barry Posner from Wiley Publishing embraces the five philosophies that chapter members and advisors can use in their everyday life – Model the Way, Inspire a Shared Vision, Challenge the Process, Enable Others to Act and Encourage the Heart.

TSA's leadership program, LEAP – which stands for “Leadership.  Education.  Achievement. Personal Growth.” is a customized program specifically developed for the Technology Student Association and it's componenents have been integrated with The Student Leadership Challenge philosophy.

TSA members are encouraged to access the free sample resources for The Student Leadership Challenge via the links below.  These free resources will be applicable to all LEAP activities.  Complete Student Leadership Challenge publications are available for purchase, but their purchase is not required to participate in any aspect of LEAP.

Professional Leadership Training at the national TSA conference

On-site training will be offered at the 2018 national TSA conference in Atlanta, Georgia. These free sessions, open on a first-come, first serve basis, will be offered to middle school and high school students, and advisors. Sessions are tailored to each audience, but they will be consistent in terms of the integration of The Student Leadership Challenge -Five Practices for Becoming an Exemplary Leader into TSA competitions and the new LEAP Legacy Chapter program.
