The TSA VEX Robotics Competition engages middle and high school students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education through an exciting, head-to-head robotics contest that captures student attention and both enhances—and allows them to use—their skills in STEM areas. In addition, the competition complements the existing technology-related competitive events offered by TSA at both levels of instruction.
In the 2010-2011 school year, registered teams will compete by playing the VEX game entitled Round Up. To acquire Round Up rules and learn details about the competition, simply register a VEX team (link to VEX team registration) and get started.
TSA chapter advisors or students seeking information about what it takes to get a team up and running may contact Hillary Lee (hlee@tsaweb.org) at the national TSA office.
Registered VEX teams are eligible to complete in nationwide VEX events (link to events). TSA VEX Robotics Competition tournaments may be conducted in conjunction with TSA state conferences; the culminating TSA competition this year will be the championship event held at the national TSA conference in Dallas, Texas in June 2011.
