Technology Student Association (TSA) Collaborates with Project Lead the Way (PLTW)
TSA has recently partnered with Project Lead the Way (PLTW), a non-profit organization that provides innovative and comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) education curricular programs in over 4,700 middle and high schools across the U.S.
The overall goal of this collaboration is to build on our organizations’ shared goals that will lead to greater access to STEM-related competitions through TSA, and enhance learning opportunities for students.
One of the first initiatives will be to consider ways to integrate Tests of Engineering Aptitude, Mathematics and Science (TEAMS) competitions with the PLTW curriculum. Another focus will be to exchange news and information through postings and updates on each other’s media sites (newsletters, websites and other social media formats). A third initiative will be to identify areas in which TSA/TEAMS and PLTW programs and activities connect, and to build on those areas, with the goal of providing more opportunities for students to gain knowledge, skills, and leadership abilities in STEM.
