TSA Online Social Network

What is Saywire?

Saywire is a social networking – blogging – wiki – document creating and storing – photo hosting – video streaming – podcasting program with email addresses all available for TSA purposes. It is free of spam and other unwanted public interferences because it is an exclusive network for TSA members only. All of these features are wrapped inside one interactive software service that comes to you ready to use. You create your own username and password and access it anywhere from a computer with an internet connection.

What can Saywire do for Advisors?

Saywire can save you time and help you be more proficient by easily providing you the power of ONE:
·        One place to log in
·        One place to store, access and distribute all of your information
·        One place to meet and discuss
·        One place to plan, prepare and organize
·        One place to reliably streamline communication to any other TSA advisor or member
·        One place to unite TSA under a single collaborative roof where members can work both individually or collectively

Saywire can easily assist you with all of these things. Know what’s even better? It was designed for users of all ages and technical abilities. No matter what your computer talents are, Saywire will accommodate you. And as a bonus, you only have to use it for what you want. That’s right. It works just as easily if you use all features or just one. You are welcome to create your own experience and use it according to your own style. The service is free for advisors. You certainly have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Why not give it a try?

Why would student members want to use Saywire?

Imagine a social networking application that also allows you to create your own pages specifically for projects, events and competitions.
·        Within these pages you can also create documents and store all of your research and planning material online – not to mention any pictures or video you might want to include.
·        You can invite other members in your chapter to collaborate with you or you can choose to work independently.
·        If you want someone else’s opinion or ideas you can seek them through the blogs, wikis or discussion boards that are available for you to use.
·        Searching for common interests among other state chapter members is easy.
·        When you need to get a quick note to someone you can message them right through Saywire and know that it hasn’t gotten lost in a junk folder or bounced out by a firewall.
·        With Saywire you have immediate access to the entire TSA global network

Saywire lets you do all of this and so much more!

As a parent, why would I want my student to participate?

As a TSA parent you are already aware that TSA provides your child with an opportunity for leadership, teamwork, community service, personal growth and recognition. Saywire extends the TSA experience by providing a private online environment for your student to be able to communicate and collaborate with other global TSA members in a 21st Century project learning environment.   In addition to developing skill sets necessary for today’s global citizenship, your student will be able to maximize the benefits and experience of belonging to a national organization like TSA.

How do I get started?

Advisors: Once your chapter affiliates with TSA, national will provide Saywire with a roster of your participating members. Saywire will activate your chapter and provide you with the required log in instructions for you to pass out to your student members. This one time process is necessary for each user to create their username and password. Because this is a connection to a private Saywire network specifically for TSA, the initial log in instructions are unique and must be followed exactly for first time use. If ten days have gone by and you have not received your instructions from Saywire, please let us know by contacting tsa@saywire.com . Usually when this happens, Saywire’s messaging is not making it through your school’s firewall, fallen into your junk folder or entangled in between all of your other email.

Members: Once your chapter affiliates, your advisor will need to provide you with the official Saywire log in instructions. This one time process is necessary for each user to create their username and password. Because this is a connection to a private Saywire network specifically for TSA, the initial log in instructions are unique and must be followed exactly for first time use.

Once usernames and passwords are created, you will be prompted to pay your annual subscription fee. At that point your account will be unlocked and you will be able to begin the Saywire experience where you can connect, create and collaborate easily with your chapter and other TSA members online.

Why is there a subscription fee for members?

  • This is a private network community created exclusively for TSA.
  • Saywire stores all of your documents, videos, audio clips and more. Throw your portable flash drives away – you won’t need them with Saywire. Log in from any computer with an internet connection and find your work every time, all the time!
  • The general public is not allowed to participate. TSA membership has privileges.
  • Your experience is not compromised with unwanted advertising or pop-ups.
  • All of today’s communicating and collaborative tools are used within one interactive platform that only requires one username and password to access.
  • It comes to you ready to use. There is nothing for you to install, update or create.
  • You’ll have access to the entire TSA global network.
