The Student Leadership Challenge – The Five Practices for Exemplary Leaders by Kouzes and Posner from Wiley Publishing embraces the five practices that chapter members and advisors can use in their everyday life – model the way, inspire a shared vision, challenge the process, enable others to act and encourage the heart.
Free Leadership Training at the National TSA Conference in Orlando, Florida, June 28- July 2, 2013. Free sessions focusing on the leadership lessons of The Student Leadership Challenge will be offered to all conference attendees. Each of the five practices will be offered at no cost two times as one hour long special interest sessions during the conference. No pre-registration for the leadership special interest sessions is required. Participation in the leadership special interest sessions is offered on a first-come, first-serve basis and is limited to 75 people per session.
Conference attendees that participate in all five leadership special interest sessions are eligible to receive certification and a lapel pin at the completion of the training. National TSA staff will verify participation in the sessions and provide a free leadership training certificate and a lapel pin on-site in Orlando.
