COMPETITIONS
The competitive events program for the 33rd National TSA Conference is governed by the 2011 & 2012 High School Technology Activities, National TSA Conference Competitive Events Guide (on CD) and the 2012 & 2013 Middle School Technology Activities, National TSA Conference Competitive Events Guide (on CD). These Events Guides are part of the TOTAL TSA CD set and are available from National TSA and include specifications for every event scheduled for the conference in Baltimore, Maryland. Entries for all national competitive events must follow the rules and regulations found in the current middle school and high school Competitive Events Guides in the TOTAL TSA CD.

Display Event Entries
Table top space for display events is limited at the National TSA Conference. Do not register for a display event unless you are certain you will have an entry.
Advisors should store their student’s display events in their hotel sleeping room until they are received at the check-in location. Storage is not available at the hotel for student projects.
Entries for competitive events are categorized according to grade levels as follows:
Middle School: Grades 6, 7, 8, 9*
High School: Grades 9*, 10, 11, 12
*Ninth graders must compete at the level in which the chapter affiliates. For example, if the ninth grade is housed in a high school building (grades 9-12), then the student must compete at the high school level. If the ninth grade is housed in a grade 6-9 or 7-9 school building, then the student must compete at the middle school level. If the school has grades 1-12 grouped together, or any other configuration not listed above, the CRC chairperson or National TSA can provide clarification about the appropriate level.
